For Darmstadt's 2013 Essential Repertoire series, I produced a performance of John Cage and Lejaren Hiller's 1969 multimedia Gesamtkunstwerk, HPSCHD at Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, co-produced by ISSUE Project Room, Electronic Music Foundation, and NYU-Poly. Bradley Eros, curated 45 different projection artists (representing a diverse span of approaches to live cinema and projections) in the creation of a visual backdrop for Cage and Hiller's electroacoustic score. Brock Monroe and Joshua White designed and built the physical environment. Joel Chadabe served as artistic advisor. For six hours on May 3 and 4, 2013, Eyebeam's gallery was transformed into a mass media orgy of multichannel electronic sound, live harpsichords, and visuals ranging from slides and 16mm projection to interactive video.
